Congrats on acquiring the M. There are three things these old engines need in order to run. You need fuel, spark, and compression at the proper time. You get all those in the correct sequence and she'll run. Pull the plugs and see if you got good blueish spark rolling the motor over. If you got good constant bluish spark on all 4 cylinders check to see if you have fuel getting to the carb. If there is a fuel supply problem then correct that. Being it pops I suspect the compression is ok but you never know. Go about it systematically and get back to us. If it's electrical it could be any number of things but you gotta go about it one step at a time.
