Hi, post a picture and probably can identify the tractor. Engine type should be stamped on right side of the block on a raised machined cast part in line with oil filter top and below hydraulic pump. Should be BD-154 (B414,434,444,384) or BD-144 (B250,B275,B276). Re B414 and B276, as I recall, my Dad signed a purchase order for a B414 in Dec. 1961 but they had not been released in Canada yet(reason, CDN tax laws at the time allowed a farmer to depreciate a Dec. purchase for the full year, not so anymore). We had to drive to the farm show in Toronto in Jan. 1962 to see a B414. Our local dealer did not receive our B414 until mid May of 1962. The B276 was released about the same time but I do not believe IH sold many as the main competition was the MF 35 and the MF 35 would out class the B276 but the B414 was better than the MF 35, so IH pushed the B414 if there was MF competition.

No. I am just happy to have their friendship. At least the word "farmer" is in my title. But what is the attraction? How can I explain the sensation and exhilaration I feel when I turn the key and hear the engine come to life (most
