Not that any of this will affect me, but is it the actual shifting that might cause a problem? In other words, if it's "already on the low side" and you start down a hill or throttle down for a stop, will it hurt? I am only familiar with the older models that free-wheeled... 350,450, 460, 460U and 560 I believe are all I have had the pleasure of running in the field.
