Thanks guys, You are probably right I should just stick with the external regulator. It is a delco Alt and regulator so I guess I will try and locate a suitable regulator. The truck information will help allot as most of our parts stores need to know exactly what vehicle you are refereeing to or they have no hope of finding what you need... it drives me nuts but that is the way it is.
