TV, you're probably the most knowledgeable person around on the 6-cylinder gas Farmalls, so I guess you're the guy I need to ask.
I'm thinking about hunting up a C200 4-banger for a light truck project. Since the C200 is 2/3 of a C301, I'm thinking that bolting it up to the 6-cylinder truck bellhousing won't be a problem, and I can probably eliminate the governor by swapping a front cover from the truck 6 as well. I figure, worst case scenario, I can get someone to fabricate a header and an intake for a downdraft carb [if there's not an industrial downdraft setup already available].
So I was wondering if you knew of any particular weak points on the 4 that didn't show up in the 6-cylinder version. I know it wasn't a well-liked engine in the tractors, but maybe as a light truck motor it might work better.
