The t444e/ 7.3 powerstroke can be stopepd by something as dumb as low oil level. I went to school with a guy that bought one and had it towed, checked out, diagnosed, added a half quart of oil and away it went.
AS for the 444 tractor, I'm not real familiar with them, but you could try to loosen an injector line and crank it. Be ready to shut it right off if it starts.
