Just sorting through some junk and found an editorial in Antique Power, 1991, about buying a tractor that wouldn't run right no matter what the previous owner tried. Pat Ertl remembered what somebody had told him: Don't do anything to an old tractor until you have the repair manual. He bought the manual, found that the battery had a positive ground. Sounds like a certain red series we all know and love. Anyway, this might be helpful to some of us, since we would ordinarily expect the ground to be negative.

The General GG was made by the Cleveland Tractor Company (Cletrac) of Cleveland, Ohio.
