Hey Red - I've yet to encounter a 6 volt Farmall (or ANY 6 volt tractor for that matter...) that could charge the battery with 3 lights burning "bright" except when running at max RPM. Suppose that's the designer's logic for providing a "dim" setting - to extend battery life during after dark operation? BTW I spent many hours as a kid pulling (4) 14" plows in average soil with an M in 2nd gear. Really made it bark, but it got it done...
