Hi Sevillian, on 74 series tractors there are two transmissions, speed transmission (1-2-3-4) just behind clutch housing and range transmission(Rev-Hi-Lo) under the seat. There are two range shift levers on the side of the transmission case by the gear shift levers. The Rev-Hi-Lo shift lever mechanism is a bit complex but you can figure out what does the HI-Lo and Rev functions. The speed transmission change levers are on top of transmission under the cover between seat and dash. BE CAREFULL and BLOCK the REAR WHEELS while working on the gear shift levers.
