I have taken the outside off so many times I think I could do it in my sleep. To remove the outside arm remove the nut. Use the touch control to stagger the location of the inside (left) and outside (right controlled) shafts. The right control should be all the way up and the left all the way down so that the arm to be removed is all the way forward. Use a dickey bar or other heavy iron bar to tap from the opposite side of the tractor. I usually gave it one good rap with a buggy axel and it came right off. (We removed it every year to mount a one row corn picker.) If it does not come off easily, you may need to heat to break the rust. I have been told that you have to remove the entire shaft to remove the inside (left) arm. Oil the tapered shaft well before you install the new arm. Larry
