Thanks for your replies. I gave the carb to my other grandpaw that lives right across the road from me, and he's been scrubbing on it with carb cleaner for me, and leaving it in a can of gas overnight to help break up some of the junk he didn't quite get off.
The family history does make it more fun to work on, especially when my dad and grandpaw come out to the shop and help me work on it. How exactly do I become a registered member of this forum? I'd like to post a couple of pictures of it for you guys to see.
