Loosen the clamp bolt and slide the the whole works back off of the front shaft. Clean the joint up and you will see the snap rings that hold the caps in place in the ears of the two halves of the joint. Remove the snap rings. You will need a large C clamp and two sockets, one to push against one of the cap ends (this one should be smaller than the OD of the cap) and another that is just large enough for the cap on the opposite end to pass inside of it as you press it out.
