A friend of ours in the cycle/snowmobile business used to have problems with mice getting into stored sleds etc.
He started putting "Bounce" clothes dryer sheets in the aircleaners, under seats and anywhere mice would favor and hasn't had any problems since.
I have mice building nests in everything in my old barn. This year I put a couple sheets in the engine compartment and under the seat on my lawn mowers and not one mouse nest has showed up.
I now put them under seat of pkup, tractors and anywhere mice might like to move in.
Try it and see what you think.
