Hi Al, I didn't not know that the 674 came without difflock. We had 674 in the 1980s and it had diff lock. My brother has 454,495,684,3230 all from the same IH series and they all have diff lock. So does it have hole in the side of trans/diff case for diff lock control rod to go thru? I don't know the answer but looking at CaseIH parts you probably have to remove the whole hydraulic housing off the top of diff to install diff lock.
