Parts book shows different numbers for the platform of a cab equipped tractor as compared to an open station fender equipped tractor. Not to say that you can not use fenders with the platform found under a cab. You can, but there will be an upward turned flange on the left and right edges of the platform .It does not look "right" and it is not as wide as the regular open station platform. If you do not mind the looks and the annoyance of the upward turned flange, the fenders will certainly mount . Look at some 756 or 856 tractors in your neighborhood for comparative purposes. The first year production of '56 series tractors had the same ( or very similar )platform as the '06 series but with bolt on extensions to make it wider than the '06's. Later 56's platforms were redesigned so that did not need the extensions.
