Pretty hard. Removing the PTO, there is a hole that you can work through to remove the bull gear retainer bolts (see archives for many posts on this) BUT a good repair can be made by loosening the flange bolts and getting about 3/8" space to clean the old gasket out (carefully, and perfectly). Then cut the very top of a new gasket and wrap on to the axle flange. (use non hardening #2 permatex on the gasket, thin film on both sides, and a dab where the cut was made. It makes a good job of a hardship. JimN
