No the firing order is determined by the crankshaft throws. Check a 2 cylinder Deere or a Harley, fires 1,2, coast with mag firing on an exhaust stroke in between. Look at a distributor on a Wisconsin, uneven lobes, mag firing order is not the same as engine order because of a 540* offset in crank throws.
