This may not be too much help, but I'm at work right now and don't have access to my manuals. Just last night I was thumbing through the Blue Ribbon Hydra Touch manual (if I got the name right), and I think the first or second entry in the troubleshooting section was what you're describing. I'll try to remember to take a look when I get home and post an update. Maybe another reader who has the manual can beat me to it.
