I welded the manifold on my M with Nickel Rod just as has been said by running the tractor to warm it , weld it and then run it some more to keep it warm and it has been that way for at least 12 years, and I even flipped the tractor over and busted the exhaust housing on the turbocharger that I had on it and it still did not break the weld loose. The turbo is a different story , but the roads were slick and I was trying to get turned off the road when a brake band snapped and caused the tractor to slide a little and then over it went.
