Couple of hints. The manual is available from IH. The knife pin that connects the knife to the balanced head has a grease zerk. Hit that every 2-3 hours. After you get all the guards and the bar reinstalled, run the mower at about 2/3 speed at rest. Then shut down and feel for hotspots, and look for shiney spots. These spots need readjustment. (too tight). Balanced head has three zerks for lube. The bottom one gets 10 strokes of the gun. Do not use hi pressure gun here. New guards don't have the serrated ledger plates so you need serrated (on top) sections. Under the knife clips you should install the steel wearing plates, lip down. and just barely touching the knife.
