Your original post was about hydro plugs and I think J.J. was speaking of the transmission case plugs, the hydro system no way holds 9 gallons.

I may be wrong but total capicity on our 340U of the trans/torque tube was close to nine gallons. I dont know how it is on the 300/350U as Ive never worked on either but on the 340U the transmission/torque tube are the hyd resivour, so the drain plugs on the case are the drain plugs for the hydro oil.
