if your are not carefull when putting the tractor back together at the clutch. you can miss aligne the input shaft pushing the shaft back through the t/a this well also caues the free wheeling. that why it is recomended to put clutch pressure plate on input shaft then slide tractor together, then bolt up pressure plate from bottom of tractor. had one come into my shop that way they had put a new cluth in tractor and when it wouldn;t go together thy used the frame bolt to pull it together running the t/a clutch plate and pressure plate. and as tractor vet says it could be just out of adjustment. and if they didn't know that it was working wrong when thy sent it home no telling what might be wrong.
