I changed the filter and cleaned the screen on the bypass valve. I lost about a litre or so of fluid doing this which was fine. There was no change on the dipstick level. Anyway, reread the manual and yes the lift arms are supposed to be down, it should run for 5 mins or so, be shut off and then checked. Level is still way over the hash marks on the dipstick and the steering is still jerky as is the 3PH. During all of this testing the pump was noisy too.
I guess the next thing is to drain some fluid and see if that helps. Is there such a thing as too much fluid?
