Meanwhile, I think you have the correct info above from those guys. In re-reading the Unforgiven's post, I think the plug he is referring to under the shield is fill plug for the hydraulic fluid. On my tractor, the PO has placed a pipe to extend up and out in order to put in fluid w/o removing shield. Crawl under it and I think you will see the drain plug in the center. No, we're not too far apart. I'm at Calhoun. Good to know there are more 184's around. Mine has the Woods finish mower under it. Does a good job and the little tractor seems to have enough power.
