I will try to explain the sleeve differences for the WD9s (D335) and the SWD9 - 650D (D350). This gets confusing, and some bad things can happen if the wrong sleeve and head gasket combination is used.
WD9:
Original IH 4.4" sleeves and aftermarket 4.4" & 4.5" sleeves have a flange that protrudes above the deck of the block. These sleeves use the standard head gasket(IH part number: 53437DG or 273668R1) These sleeves measure:
Flange OD: 4.8775" Flange Thickness: 0.227" Length of sleeve: 11.875" OD of sleeve: 4.651"
The IH 4.5" bore sleeve measures the same as above, but with a different flange thickness of approx 0.190" (from memory). This sleeve fits flush with the block, and requires a special head gasket (IH part # 305299R91) to hold it into place. If the standard head gasket is used, the sleeve flange will break, and the sleeve will end up in little pieces in the oil pan.
Super WD9, 600, 650 Diesel:
These sleeves will not fit the WD9 blocks unless the block is bored to accept the larger OD and flange OD. These sleeves use the standard head gasket, IH part number 53437DG or 273668R1. These sleeves have a protruding fire dam that sticks up approx 0.040 above the flange thickness at an OD of 4.875". These sleeves measure:
Flange OD: 5.122" Flange Thickness: 0.187" Length of sleeve: 11.875" OD of sleeve: 4.751"
