Mike, I had a similar problem with my Cub. Stalled it in the pasture and it wouldn't start. It would fire once in a while and kick out the starter bendix, so I was pretty sure I had spark. I pulled off the fuel line to check the gas flow and had very little (it should look like a garden hose with the water turned all the way on). Looked up at the sediment bowl, and it was BLACK inside. After draining and flushing the tank, I installed a fuel filter in the line to catch any further rust until I can cure the problem by sealing the tank. After a good cleaning of the carb, she runs like a Swiss watch again. Phil
