Matt, gee here...Yeah, this sounds pretty simple on the surface, but there is more to it. With the 2" cover over the top, plus digging the trech out, I'm looking to at least 8" deep, and 6" wide. Also,the soil here is nearly pure clay. It is really like digging through stone, even if you wet it down for a couple of days. I had to dig an electrical conduit trench here last year, and it took a week to go 58 feet. I just thought there was a quick way to do this. A trencher won't work because I want to scrape the old corroded pieces out, and leave the furrow open to lay the new pipe in. My neighbor rented a trencher and took it back after he got disgusted with the time it was taking,and how bad the machine was straining. thank you anyway...gee
