On the double shifting while letting out the clutch the answer is NO you clutch and dump valve are out of adjustment and you need to look back intot the arcives on my way of adjusting the clutch transmission brake and the dump valve now if by chance your tractor had a hyd assist clutch then i will have to go over that with you at a later date as this morning i do not have the time as the sun is up the fields are dry and i got more tractors down around here then i want . Now the free travel of the std clutch pedal on a 856 is11/16ths of and inch from the back of the clutch pedal by the arrow to the ft edge of the platform , the rest is the same as i have outlined in past posts.you will need and extra set of hands or i should say feet.
