On my Regular they got in through the timing hole on the front side of the bellhousing, messy little creatures. :?
Ya like cowman said you will likely have to get creative to get that out of there. The one on my parts Regular was so bad from the mice that when the cover and shaft finally did come out it brought the center of the pressure plate with it.
