I SEE THAT BERNARD LE MECANO IS ON HERE,AND I UNDER STAND HE IS THE GURU ON THIS SERIES OF TRACTORS,SO I AM HOPING HE ,OR SOMEONE,CAN HELP ME.I HAVE ASKED ABOUT THIS BEFORE,BUT REALLY GOT NO SOLUTION.MY 485 CASE IH 3 POINT LIFT HOPS UP AND DOWN WITH A LOAD ON IT WHEN IT IS COLD,AND IF YOU SHUT THE ENGINE OFF,IT DROPS THE 3 PT VERY QUICKLY.HOWEVER,AFTER IT IS ALL WARMED UP TO OPERATING TEMPERATURE,(AFTER AT LEAST 20 MINUTES)THEN THE 3 POINT WILL HOLD STEADY WITH ENGINE RUNNING AND WILL HOLD A LOAD UP FOR QUITE A WHILE IF I SHUT THE ENGINE OFF.IF I USE THE REMOTE ,SAY TO FOLD MY DISC MOWER,IT ALSO RAISES THE 3 POINT TO TOP OF IT'S TRAVEL.EVERYTHING ELSE,STEERING,SPEED OF HYDRAULICS,DRAFT CONTROL WORK FINE.DRAFT CONTROL LEVER IS IN PROPER POSITION(DOWN)AND HAS NO EFFECT ON THE HOPPING PROBLEM.THE FLUID IS CLEAN, AND FILTER WAS CHANGED.THE TRACTOR HAS 1946 HRS ON IT.
