I have an H4 magneto that I am trying to decide what to do with. My father hired someone to "fix" it a few years ago. The guy loaded up the whole tractor and took it off and kept it over a year before my parents demanded he bring it back. when they finally got it back, the mag was removed and partially disassembled. points and rotor are missing. dirt and grit is inside the whole unit. a couple of screws are missing. i have the blue ribbon service manual, i think i will need to read it about 50 more times before i really understand it. i have no idea if it will work when the missing pieces are replaced. Am I better off trying to fix this one or getting another one? Also, any suggestions on how to fix would be appreciated.
