Brent ,Assuming it`s the original engine ,and with the engine having the correct serial # prefix FAB ,there`s a decent chance it is original, I would say you have a `46 B. The engine and chassis serial #`s matched on the A`s & B`s, so serial # 153299 would make it a 1946 model. Another way to double check would be to look at some casting date codes and see when the castings were made. The date codes are usually near the part number and are month/day/year with a dot between the month and day and a dot between day and year. The years are marked as a letter, so as an example January 18, 1939 would look like 1-18-I because the letter I denotes 1939, J =1940, K=1941 and so on.If you find date codes with O`s and P`s, I`d be pretty sure it`s a `46.
