2.625 will be the original bore. If even sizes bigger (.010", .020", ,030") measured where there is no wear (near bottom of bore, and above the ridge if any) it has been bored. New pistons will need to be fit to the bore as specified in the service manual (I do not know the #) Any new piston ring will have to be of the correct bore, and have the correct thickness, and end gap.
