I just bought a nice A-21 sickle mower for my Super A. First question is there is a bar that almost looks like a rockstaft that appears to slide into the holes near where the mower bolts to the upper final drives and has a small square welded to it. What is this used for? Also, I have the mower hooked up to the touch control with the long rod and it raises the whole mower up and down nicely to change the cutting height but the cutter bar doesn't fold all of the way up like in the transport position. It is just flat and about a foot off the ground. Should it fold up when the mower is raised, or do you have to manually open and close it with the rod and nut? I know I need a manual for adjustments, but theses are just some quick questions after playing with it today. Boy, what a bear to mount it the first time! Thank you.
