I have a farmall 966 without 3pt hitch and the final drive is suspect. I have access to a 766 with 3 pt that is salvage (bad engine, TA and PTO). Would it be possible to swap the rear end/final drive on these tractors or are there major differences. In theory I would then have a final drive with fewer hours and have added the 3pt hitch I would also need to swap the good pto for the bad. Thanks
