Im NOT an IHC Mag guy butttttttttttttt the very first thing I would do if the points are like gray oxide coated is to non abrasively clean/buff/polish them shiny n see what happens. If they are burned or pitted a points file may get her going but if they are badly burned Id get a new set. Is the imuplse spring assembly winding then tripping/releasing with a good loud SNAP as you slowly crank the engine over??? If its sticking or gunked up she cant spark at cranking speed, you gotta heAr that sharp SNAP FOR THE MAG TO FIRE WHEN YOURE CRANKING IT OVER. Sometimes a good clean up and light lube can free up a sticking impulse.
If its more serious IM OUT TO LUNCH on IHC mags but this mat get you going
