Two quick checks. Is the new mount grounded? use a jumper to ground the regulator body to the mount, or shiny metal. Are the wires on the same terminals? Bat goes to the Amp Meter load side. Arm goes to the big terminal on the Gen. Field goes to the F (small) terminal on the Gen. The L terminal (if it has one) goes to the light switch. JimN
