I have an IH 574 Utility that is giving me problems raising and lowering the 3-point hitch. The unit seems to raise the arms just fine but I have to mess around with the Draft Control lever in order to get the 3-point arms to lower down. It seems like they are “locked” in the upright position until the draft lever is changed in position.
I notice that there are threaded rods on the level control lever and draft control which can be adjusted. Does anyone have the procedure? Do you think this would help?
Also, I purchased this unit used from a local party. I have noticed that someone at onetime has removed the “3-point cover plate” that allows access to the inner workings of the system under the seat and behind the seat. Are there internal adjustments inside the casing that maybe the prior owner was messing around with?
