Names of things get lost in the shuffle sometimes. The pto is a shaft to turn things. A 3-point is a hitch system using hydraulics and linkages to pull and lift things. Your pto and your 3-point are not related. Many of the old tractors have a pto but no 3-point and some tractors have a 3-point but no pto.
