IH paint problems..HELP!!!!!!

we are trying to paint our smta with much difficulty. We had to do some body work to the
hood and then we gray primed it. we used IH 2150
paint and IH thinner with a little activater harder. we can not get it to cover after several
coats, and when we do get enough on to shine,the
paint starts to sagg or run. thot we we better
get some help before going any futher. thanks for
any help out there... gary
