Histerical Society has a decades old recipe sauce on their burgers and some beers that aren't what I call 'institutional' beers. When in the Badger State give something different a try to wash down your food. Babcock ice cream is what some call a 'must' also. For folks driving down from the NW-ern part of Wisc. Sand Creek Brewery in Black River Falls has some delicious beverages. Out of the way, but S. of La Crosse on highway 162 is a GREAT place, The Hideaway in Chaseburg. Lots of menu items, 14 beers on tap and many more from small breweries in this country, Belgium and others and the scenery is unmatched!, well...ok, not many women, but the scenery is still unmatched. Just a few side trips in Wisc.
