If it`s a 240U, not even close to the same as a 340 Farmall. The utilities have the swept back axles. The wide fronts for a 240 Farmall and 340 Farmall are the same EXCEPT for the socket that the ball pivots in at the rear end of the stay rod hoop (behind the oil pan). Otherwise, they`re identical. Oh yeah, usually the 240 uses 15" rims and the 340 uses 16", but the 340 can use the 15" too.
