Hi Joe, at 1500 RPM the hydraulics should have 2400 psi for hydraulic and 1500 psi for power steering. The other test is with a flow gauge to check the pump and the MCV valve. Part of the MCV valve splits the 12 gpm of the pump into 2.5 gpm for power steering and brakes and the other 9.5 gpm goes to the 3pt and remotes. There is only one filter. Make sure the hydraulic oil is full or over full by 5 gallons or so with a loader. But on the 74 model tractors the hydraulics tend to slow at idle RPM but at 1000 RPM all should be good. My brother has 454,495,684 and 3230 with the same hydraulics but the newer 3230 has a 17 gpm pump and the 2250 loader is significantly faster on 3230 than when the loader was on the 495 with the 12 gpm pump.
