Gene . , I would say that you may have busted the cap over the steering piston or if yo are really lucky it maybe just a line . Look behind the left frame rail and you will see a sorta square cap held on with four bolts and see if it is cracked , it sets in on a angle . You may luck out and only Blew the O/Ring that seals it . But the down side is that you have to removethe left frame rail to fix . This is not a hard job just put a jack under the center of the range trans mission or bell housing and take some weight off beore you remove the frame rail and if it is a wide ft. drive a wedge between the ft axle and the bolster to hold everything in place then remove the frame rail . If ya got bigger problems then get ahold of me and i can walk ya thru it
