There are a couple of choices that are user-specific...which is code for there are of course a lot of opinions and not "one, right choice".

However, I use Castrol 10W40 (used castrol since I was 16...so too late for me now) in the engine. I would also not hesitate to use 20W50 or SAE30 for summer use either. The 10W40 is commonly available since it is also used in a number of my road vehicles.

I use the cheap 80W90 "EP axle lube" in the transmission and steering box. The thinking is this is probably better than what was originally available even in the cheapo formulation and I'm probably going to change it regularly until the tractor can get indoors and out from under its tarp.

I've not done the touch-control yet but would likely use HyTran fluid.
