Yes the VF4 runs CCW and has 1/2 speed dist. What I think will work is fire 1 skip 1 post fire 3, now we switch banks to to # 4 cyl and have a 270 crankshaft degrees gap so we skip 2 posts. Next we fire cyl. 2 so skip one post. Next we are back to cyl. 1 and skip no posts from 2cyl to #1 cyl. This engine is in a skid loader and I would like it to work out of the box. I will run engine before I put it back in loader. Just have to find dist. that runs CCW that I can limit the advance and I would like it to be HEI or electronic. Size of dist. body is 1 1/16 which is common in 4 and 6 cyl. but maybe not for 8 cyl engines. Thanks for the reply .
