rich, char-lynn made different kits for quite a few tractors, also for industrial equipment. on the row crops, the steering assist was done thru the torque generator that spliced into the steering shaft. for the standards and utilitys, there was an assist unit that looked like a long hydraulic cylinder that attached to the drag link on the steering and then to the body of the tractor. here is a picture of my w-9 with the assist cylinder, tho the cylinder is behind the front tire. you can see the engine mounted pump and the hoses going to the cylinder, if you want i can get some close up pics of the steering set up and post em for you.
