the origanal housing had a crack by bolt flange and was seaping oil out for a few years. finally decided to repair. tried to weld crack but kept shrinking and a crack would form again. anyways, got a used replacement btu it had the seals removed already. I was able to press out my seals, there was a couple of chips in otherhousing where someone wasnt careful removing seals. pressed in seals, niether leaked from rubber element but it leaked where the chips were. since it wasnt a pressure leak, I applied permatex cold weld, same as jb weld. if it didnt work i wasnt out anything but ten minutes it takes to harden. it worked like a charm.
