Ignition coil for Onan old Twin-cylinder engine Thank you very much for the 4 followups (Larry,Fudd,Bob, Wardner) to my message posted on April 9. 1) Searching the web, I found that the source for old Onan engines is the Cummins company (cummins.com). The coil is still available from the French branch ($105, 1 month delay). 2) Looking back to vintage cars, I discovered that this kind of ignition system had been adopted by Citroen on the "2 HP" (Deux Chevaux). A used coil cost me $14 at the nearest broker. It works very well… The only minor problem was to find the best place to mount it, because the high voltage connectors are axial, each side of the coil core; Steve.
