didnt see any body answer, so i"ll take a stab at it. the new disc doesnt have a whole lot more meat on it. i just got a new kit for my super m and was suprised the lining wasnt that thick. yup, pressure plate can get weak over time. did you have your flywheel re-surfaced? the fingers on the cutch also eed to be set up, you need to follow the manual for the correct measurements. oil contamination on the clutch can cause slipping, and also it will glaze over the disc, pressure plate and flywheel surfaces, making the slipping worse. over greasing the pilot bearing is a nother way to get contamination on the clutch surface too, i think the manual calls for just 2 pumps on the flywheel zerk.
